Dr. Matthew Crain Executive Director

Dr. Crain holds a Ph.D. in Adult Education and founded a similar organization for fathers in Sacramento, CA in 1993. Matt is certified to facilitate Boot Camp for New Dads and Becoming a Love and Logic Parent, to administer Prepare/Enrich inventories and conduct Dynamic Marriage Courses. He has taught on the college level as well as the high school level for 8 years, occasionally conducting in-service for teachers. Other experience as a minister, police chaplain, hospital chaplain, Kiwanis president, little league baseball coach and Scoutmaster qualifies him to interface with the community at large. He has been married for 30 years and has two daughters, two grandsons and one granddaughter. His youngest daughter was the first to complete the requirements for a Covenant Marriage in Greene County, AR. His oldest daughter owns a business in Tulsa, OK.

MISSION STATEMENT: The Center for Fathers and Families of Arkansas is a Christ-centered organization, partnering with other organizations to equip fathers to be responsible family leaders

Board Chairman Ron Stephens is president of Unico Bank of Paragould. As a successful business owner, he also serves the community through Southside Community Church where he serves as Chairman of the Finance Committee, a small group leader and member of the leadership team. He also serves as a director on five boards and is married with three children and five grandchildren.

Board Treasurer Kendall Jetton owns Jetton’s Electric, Inc. and is a licensed contractor. A deacon at the Hillcrest Church of Christ and lifelong resident of Paragould, Kendall is a graduate of Crowley’s Ridge Academy. He and his wife Sandy have been married 30 years and have three girls.

Board Vice-Chairman Jeff Boone is an independent insurance agent at Cook Insurance Agency in Paragould and is an experienced substance abuse counselor and finance/budgeting counselor. Jeff currently serves as chairman of the finance committee and as men’s ministry director at Reynolds Park Baptist Church. He is a member of the Paragould Lions Club and currently serves as the Arkansas State Lions Clubs Council Chairman. Jeff has served on the Greene County Community Fund Board, the NE Arkansas Rehabilitations Center Board, the Greene County American Cancer Society Board, and as Relay for Life steering committee chairman. Jeff was born and raised in Paragould. He and his wife Tammy have five children and three grandchildren. He volunteers at LifeHouse Pregnancy Center as a mentor and is certified by the National Center for Fathering to conduct the faith-based program called, Seven Secrets of Effective Fathers.

Volunteer Jeff Cupples owns Cupples’ Signs in Paragould and works tirelessly with the Center on numerous projects. He and his wife have received training for parents whose children have serious medical needs.

Board Secretary Chad Wood works with his father at Wood’s Auto Sales on Hwy 49 North in Paragould. He and his wife Starla have two children and attend Southside Community Church where they lead a small group for Young Adults and he leads their Men’s Ministry. Chad graduated from Faith Bible Institute in December with a degree in Bible. A former pastor, Chad has experience developing leaders, and in organizational communication.

Board Member Floyd Bailey serves Paragould as Pastor of Real Hope Community Church. He and his wife Mary see the brokenness around them and seek to help heal the hurts. They have a son, two daughters and two grandchildren.

Board Member Ron Vaughn is an RN who will finish his Nurse Practitioners degree in May of 2007. He and his wife have six children, some of whom now live in Nebraska. Vaughn is a skilled teacher and mentor who brings a great deal of experience to the board.
